what brand of Screwdriver do you use for discharging

i know they make electrician insulated screwdrivers but i dont see them at sears. and i read that The plastic handles found on many screwdrivers do not provide insulation. And Vinyl covered screwdriver blades may prevent a circuit from being shorted out, but will not protect a person from an electrical current. A fully insulated screwdriver will be labeled as such. So what should i look for in my tool box?

otherwise , use a long handle . andmake sure the ground lead is secure,
 or u could have a shocking experience .

Use common sense first. Just make sure that YOU are not part of the quickest route to ground.

I just used a long handle flat blade screwdriver I found in the garage, complete with years of rust. Worked a charm and continues to do so

I use the "Big-Un" brand.

Seriously..... just about any brand screwdriver will work. Steer away from the el' cheapo plastic handles. (some cheap plastics can actually be conductive)
A rubber gripped handle is definitely much better.
As mentioned before, the number one thing to do is make sure your ground lead is secured to the chassis AND the shank of the screwdriver. A better path to ground will help keep it from coming down the handle.

And of course if you can get a high voltage probe of sorts, by all means do so.

1 thing that I've noticed on my long-un screwdriver (sorry I don't know what brand it is) is that when I discharge my 19" Kortek is that the suctioncup part of the anode cap gets in the way.  Not like my other monitor the Kortek "cup" doesn't lift easily away from the tube.  I end up using a test light (grounded and touching the screwdriver all the while) to lift the cup so I can get in there with my screwdriver.  Plus the screwdiver ends up scratching up the red/orange paint surrounding the anode hole.

Any suggestions?
