Ipac Value Edition Question about programming keys
« on: July 28, 2009, 05:22:31 pm »
I'm redoing my arcade that I built about 4 years ago.  I've installed a bunch of new emulators and can't get away with using just the mame standard keys.  I downloading the ipac software to reprogram the keys.  Well now I know of should of bout ipac 2.  When the ipac value edition loses power it loses the saved keys.  Is there anyway I can some how program it on boot?  because if now everytime it loses power I have to click the program button.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

The VE was not made to store your settings. That's WHY it's the cheapy.

Should still be able to run some command-line tool to program it on boot I would imagine.

I guess if no one knows since it keeps the settings when I power off the PC.  The usb still gives power I don't lose the settings.  Its just I can't unplug the PC or when I lose total power I will just have to remember to click program on the ipac software.  Not a huge issue but a issue non the less.

Thanks anyway, I love this forum and I have already had a bunch of other issues that the search feature of this forum has saved me a lot of time.
