Is the 33ohm the same as 33e.

when in doubt on resistance values , one can reference the pcb designation to the schematic  ;)

as much as i detest rat shaft ( radio shack) , they do list a 33 ohm 1/2 w standard carbon resistor
http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=33%20ohm%20resistors&origkw=33%20ohm%20resistors&sr=1

and a 330 ohm

Schematic just says 33 ....... parts list says 33E.
But all the resistors in the parts list are designated with the "E" aside from the particular "K" resistors which match the schematic. Such as 2K, 10K, 20K, etc.

So my best assumption would be that 33e is nothing more than a 33Ohm resistor.
(1/2 watt, 5% tolerance and all that of course)
