so im new to Hyperspin and it looks pretty sweet.  i installed it in my cab and i ran through the setup just to get my roms showing up and stuff in the FE.  i've been messing around with HyperHQ so it will point to my emu's and all that stuff.  the problem is...when i click on the Games List tab, nothing shows up in HyperHQ.  what i mean is, according to the wiki, there should be a drop down menu in the games list tab so that i can choose Mame, SNES, etc and mess with the games list of each emu.  but there is no such drop down menu.  the drop down menu shows up in the Wheel Settings tab just fine.

another weird thing is that when i select say Mame from the wheel settings drop down, and then go to the Artwork tab, nothing shows up there either.  does HyperHQ use some kind of java or something to display it's drop downs?  i'm guessing no because if that were the problem then i would see ANY drop down menus from any of the tabs.  what am i doing wrong??

Hyper HQ never really got fully developed.  Another person came up with a program called HyperList which simplifies all of the game/genre listing and xml creation. Check it out.

Also if you click on the link where is says HyperSpin forum and pictures, it shoots you over to the HyperList thread on our forum and you can get a sense of what you can do.

If you ever have any other questions, feel free to post them on our forums as you get an answer much quicker.

Hyper HQ is helpful but clearly still needs some work. It is nicer than dealing with all of the individual wheel settings though.

okay, i'm officially confused with HyperList.  ive looked for tutorials/wikis but it doesnt really tell much.  i'm under the impression that HyperList makes an xml file showing all my mame roms?  um....so what?  i'm confused as to why this is helpful?  and i still cant figure out how to put screenshots for my games instead of videos in hyperspin.  help!

You will be better off posting on the HyperSpin forums regarding this.  I'm not sure how often our HyperList king, Lashek, comes to these forums.  I know if you post on the HyperSpin forums you'll have your answers much quicker.

My thoughts exactly. Spend enough time over there and you'll sort it out.
