Sanyo EZ20 cap kit installed, now scanlines
« on: July 18, 2009, 08:57:57 pm »
Hey guys,

Last night I capped my sanyo 20ez, invert board, and audio board... Picture is 110% better than before. Fixed some vertical collapse, brightness issue, and light jail bars  ;D

But after about an hour of playing these white scanlines show up, then the screen goes grey. Power cycle and video is fine again.

One thing to note, the horizontal position is off, pot turned all the way, and I cannot fill the right side of the screen...

What do you guys thing may be the cause?

Little did I know there was a h-pos and v-pos knobs on the actual game pcb .. I had yet to actually open up the pcb cage. Video problem seems to have disappeared, and picture aligned and adjusted very nicely. Adjusted b+ voltage, and will tune the colors up tomorrow.

Played for a couple more hours, no more issues. Going to assume the edge connector just needed to be reseated...
