newbie question about capacitors

axial or radial capacitors for monitor chassis.iv always herd axial but when i go to the mouser web site they dont look the same as the ones that are on the board,the ones on the site look like resistors with a lead at each end more than they do caps with both leads at the bottom.i know iv been posting alot lately and i just wanted to say how much i appreciate every bodies help with my questions,i am new at the arcade thing and this site has been a very useful source of information for me and i just wanted to say thanks again.

Most electrolytic caps on monitors are the radial style.  This is the style where both leads come out one "end" of the cylindrical can.  The axial style is, as you note, where one lead comes out each end.  This style has mostly fallen out of favor but is sometimes still used where vertical height is a problem.

whats the best temp range and tolerance range

Go for 105C (or better) if it'll fit.  Doesn't generally hurt to overspec the voltage for longevity reasons as well.

As for tolerance, the "ideal" option is somewhat dependent on the usage.  +/-20% is usually OK.  For bulk smoothing caps, +80/-20% is usually OK.  Of course, going tighter is never a problem.
