unsupported .chd version please help me.

well, I'm running my pc that's going into my MAME cabinet and i want to test out some killer instinct.
unfortunately, it won't let me.
it gives me the error "unsupported chd version"
i've googled the crap out of it, but i still have no idea what to do.
i downloaded the chd set off of [romsite name redacted] that matches my version, but the game won't run.
killer instinct 1 and 2 are the only games i'm runing into this problem with, too.

I had this same issue.  You have old files in the cfg and diff folders that is causing this issue.  Delete files located in the cfg and in the diff folder.  That should fix your problem.

also run chdman -update oldrom.chd  newrom.chd
tool is located in the root mame folder

this will update the hash and checksum
