Very New Arcade enthusiast looking for help with WG19K7602
« on: June 26, 2009, 06:54:20 am »
Hey all,

(Thanks to SirPeale for the answer to my initial question).

Just picked up an Neo Geo 2 slot with a Wells Gardner 19K7602. The screen has some burn in but still looks good. Just yesterday, the picture starting to contract and expand intermittenly and flicker. Tried everything: Cleaning the games, took out the marquee lights, made sure there were no electric devices on while I was playing. No luck. The monitor's board is caked with dust and I'm sure the main PCB could use a good cleaning. Just crossing my fingers that nothing is wrong with the monitor itself.

Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

If the unit isn't on when you're adjusting, how will you know when you've made the proper adjustment?

Yes, on is fine.  Preferable, even.

Thanks. Just needed the reassurance from someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Flickering problem still isn't solved, however. The monitor's board is caked with dust. If it's not a problem with the monitor, I wonder if that could be causing the problem?
