Donkey Kong Jr Monitor Issue
« on: June 25, 2009, 09:31:42 pm »
Hi All!

I have installed a cap kit on a Sanyo 20ez monitor in my Donkey Kong Jr. arcade and everything looks great. The only issue I am having is a slight back and forth vibration on the screen. I tried adjusting all the pots, but nothing seems to help it. Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks!

When you did the cap kit, did you replace the pots on the adjustment board? Sounds like a dirty pot somewhere.
I had this problem with my 2 board donkey kong, there was a slight shake in the picture that resloved itself after I turned the pot on the actual game PCB back and forth a few times because it was dirty or old. Maybe one of your pots is dirty too?

Well, the vibration seems to have stopped. I unplugged the game for a while then plugged it back in. The screen was rolling really bad, so I adjusted the V Hold. Everything looks fine now. Maybe the new caps justed needed time to warm up. If any other problems come up I'll let you know.
