Have you tried FCE Ultra yet?  That's what I run through Mamewah with no problems.

i have the same sort of problem.  but with nesticle, nester, and (this is a killer) visual boy advance.  but NOT for gba games(these work perfect)....only gbc games!  what gives?!  not really lag either...its EXTREME lag.  i push a button, and character jumps 3 minutes later.
i will try fce ultra out.  but any thoughts on the gbc games?

I love FCEU.  It plays really well.  I tried RockNES, and found that I couldn't adjust a lot of settings that I really needed with FCEU.

That being said, I'm putting together a console PC to hook up to my TV.  The frontend is GameLauncher.  It works really great - on the monitor.  When I move it to the TV, I can only get Stella and ZSNES to display properly.  FCEU won't display properly at all.  1/2 the reason I built this was for NES games!  RockNES, OTOH, displays okay, but not well.

What are your specs?  I have an athlon xp 1800 w/ 512 ram and virtuanes runs and looks great.  It often makes no sense how much resources an emulator uses...didn't the original nintendo have under 2 mhz and the super nes have under 4 mhz?

Nesticle, although outdated, can run nes on any computer, slow or fast.

well just so you guys know, im using virutalNES now.  it allows you to map your controls so i like it better.  fceu was great for windows only, but now that im trying to config all this crap, virtualNES seems to work the best.  oh and by the way, if you are trying to install virtualNES and are having trouble running it, make sure you have your CD ROM drive plugged in and working along with the sound plug plugged into your mobo or sound card connecting to your CD ROM drive.  for some reason it has to have sound before it can start!  just a personal tip :)

Well Hulk, do you get the same lag/bad performance from VirtuaNes when you just run it without going through Mamewah?
