E-Touch/Freebox Skin Competition
« on: June 22, 2009, 09:42:40 pm »
The Competition:
Ok i tried this before but now with V5 the features are stable and so the skinning platform is less likely to change. I am looking for people to design some skins for E-Touch Jukebox V5.

You can download the demo from the site http://www.freeboxjukebox.com and that is all you need to make the skins. Full support is availble over on the forums if anyone is having problems.

The Prize:

1 years subscription to Gameroom Magazine.
A Selection of Santoro's Excellent Arcade Tokens.
Life Time Supporter Access to E-Touch/Freebox Jukebox.

All completed skins will get access to the full version of E-Touch V5.

Judging and Closing Date:
I intend to let this run until the 1st August, then I will offer the submissions up for voting over ont he E-touch/Freebox forums and let the users vote on the skins to decide the winner.

Email your submissions to me and i'll get them uploaded. Feel free to post sneak previews up or direct links if you have your own hosting.

I have tried a number of times to use the skin tool but when I launch it I get a garbled display of the main sceen.   When I change screens I get all the other screens in viewable condition but when I go back to the main screen it is blank.   Running Vista 64.

Yes it is a little confusing at first, the best way is to edit an existing skin which i assume is what you have tried. The main screen view is used for positioning the menu and player as well as the few elements that are on there like the small now playing screen, this might be why it looks like you can't see anything. There are people on the forum that will help you get everything together what we are really lacking is graphic artists. If you make images of the pages as you would like them to look one of us will be able to turn that into a working skin for you. Then you will only have to tweak the images (As they might not look great after being cut from one image.)

We did have a tutorial to get you started but that was lost when BOSE closed down the old site because of the touchtunes skin.
