Hello again,
Mrs Pac Man bootleg has droop on one side.  I was not able to adjust it out.
-Is this a cap problem?
-If so how the heck do I figure out which one?
Thanks in advance,
Patrick

What make/model of monitor?

Is the entire image centered correctly?

Actually do not know what brand monitor but I think that might not matter now.  I attempted to adjust it again tonight and lost the image all together.  I was adjusting the H Hold pot and the screen scrambled and I could not get it back.

What now?

Maybe knocked a ground loose from the video input. (sync)

Grab a pic of the chassis if you can, surely we can identify it.

I think that it is a WGK 4600.  I was told today by a tech that if I cannot adjust it in with the H Hold pot then the pot is bad.  Sound right?

Yes, that's a K4600.

There is also a little "tin can" pot on the right hand board (L351 I believe) it's square.
There is a little hole you generally have to reach through from the side to get at it to be able to adjust it.
Try tweaking on that just a hair.

Thank you Kevin and Ken,
Kevin, that pot you showed me did the trick.  I have had the game for years and it has never looked better.  Too bad I am selling it.
Patrick

Now why is it that all three of my games require me to turn them on then off then on again to get them to work?  Old power supply?  Easy fix?

Cool.... that one gets overlooked A LOT.
And just to clarify, I called it a "pot" to avoid confusion, but it's really an adjustable coil.

Now why is it that all three of my games require me to turn them on then off then on again to get them to work?

Most likely old power switches.
When you turn them on and the do "nothing" ..... do you mean nothing as in no marquee lights or anything? (dead)
No game play or just no picture? (or both)

Everything powers up just the screens are either blank or scrambled until you switch it off the right on again.  I would love to fix it if it would be cheap and easy.  I suppose you are going to ask me for a picture right?

Always helps.  ;)
And being able to identify the monitors always helps narrow down common problems on certain models.

But it sounds like either a bad power plug connection on the ones coming up blank or needing a slight tweak for the sync on the ones coming up scrambled.
Could just be monitors needing the general refreshing they tend to need after 20+ years. (cold solder joints, capacitors, adjustment, etc)

When they come up "blank"...... do you hear any high voltage static when you first turn it on?

Mrs. Pacman, WGK 4600 scrabbles multi colored on start until you turn it off then on again.  Track and Field, I believe a T & E KI-2-VO, comes on and is just blank blue screen until you sw off then on.  Any thoughts?
Patrick

Pics are of the T&F monitor.
