Sharp XM-200IN Wavy lines, and left side melting down.
« on: June 12, 2009, 08:21:33 am »
First off I am a total noob when it comes to ARcade monitors.....
Just got a Goindol cab with a Sharp XM-200IN in it.  The montior looks wavy.  To be more specific there are moving wavy lines are all over the screen. They are kind of wavy and move down the screen.   Also on the left hand side the screen seams to melt down to the bottom.  I will try to post pics.  Also there are 3 place on the chasis that have controls.  Looking at the back of the monitor there is a set of controls on the back lower left, vhold brightness, hhold ETC.  I fooled around with these and could not fix the issue. Then there is set right behind yoke or montior neck for Red green and blue bias, didn't tocuh these.  Then there is a whole other set of controls on the right side near the front of the montior and i didn't touch those either.  Would this be fixed with a new Cap Kit?

Pictures could confirm but those sound like classic cap issues.

Thanks, it helps to hear confirmation,
I just ordered a cap kit from our good friend Bob Roberts.  Try to post pics tonight.
