I'm trying to find games similar to Pang and snow bros. GAmes that two people can play together, usually a non scrolling single screen. Clear it and move on.

So far I have:

Pang
Super Pang
Pang 3
Mighty Pang
Snow Bros.
Mario Bros.
Bubble Bobble

Any more?

When people come over my house we play lots and lots of Hat Trick for some reason. It's one screen, not co-op (head-to-head) and not a puzzle game so, um.... yeah...

Nightmare in the Dark is very similar to Bubble Bobble and Snow Bros. Very fun game I think.

I have an old NES cart of the Mario Bros game, with the POW and turtles and crabs. I did not realize they had released an arcade version, as well?

People seem to always miss the re-release of the Namco Classic Collection 1 and 2. Check this out for some new 2 player versions of some classics (like Dig Dug).

Excellent game but I'm trying to avoid the ultra violent. This list of games is for my wife and I to play, or my young daughter and I.

Bomberman was a good choice though, even though I am extremely poor at it.

There's a very underrated 'cave man' game like Snow Bros/Bubble Bobble that I quite like.

I think its called Caveman Ninja: Something, or Joe & Mac (I believe it was called different names in different countries)

However, note that there is a 'side scrolling platform game' version with this name/those characters, and then a 'single screen puzzle' style game like Bubble Bobble.

If I can find the exact name I'll let you know.

uopoko and pururun are great japanese co-operative puzzle games.
cshift (chicken shift), can be played co-operatively with just one button per player!

Not exactly a puzzle game, but Penguin Kun Wars is pretty fun and definitely a hit with the younger set (my daughter's 5)
