3D Console Box Art Project
« on: June 07, 2009, 10:52:13 pm »
HyperSpin is proud to announce the 3D Console Box Art Project.  While this was created by the artwork guys on the HyperSpin forums, this collection is available for anyone to use.

This is a collection of 3D Box Artwork from various consoles for use on front ends.  Any front end that has the ability to use .png files should be able to use these wonderfully re-mastered console boxes.  Of course you can always convert to other formats if needed.

These artwork collections should look good in Mala, GameEx, Maximus Arcade or any other front end out there.

All images are named using the No-Intro Naming convention.

Here are a couple of examples.

Feel free to download from the HyperSpin 3D Box Art Download section.

Very nice looking and well done.

Are there plans to do NES and SNES box art?

Yup, NES is currently in the works and SNES shouldn't be too far behind.  I know that Genesis is also in the works and I think 3D0 as well.  As we find good box art sites/collections we just keep adding them to the to do list.  Keep an eye on our Box & Wheel Artwork forum as new sets are announced and released there.

Nice captcha.
Isn't that great?  It actually keeps the bots and spammers away pretty damn well.  I really need to add some more screens to it though...

Always the same screen shot for a particular game or do you choose out different screen shots for the same game?

All of them except the Nintendo entertainment system. I worked on. I am working on the sega saturn right now. Next is the Genesis. Special thanks to Mildanti and Sopht as we knocked those sets out super fast. I will get the rest of the sets done before the end of the year. I was supposed to have them done by the end of the summer but I have been working on a lot of other artwork and projects for HS.
