Renaming Games
« on: May 31, 2009, 12:54:37 am »
I'm running Mamewah as my FE with the latest version of MAME.  Got it all set up and working.  My question is, is it possible to somehow rename the games as they show up?  In other words, I'd like to just see "Galaga" not "Galaga (Namco, Rev B)".  Is this possible?

MAMEWah supports the use of legacy ArcadeOS NMS files for this very purpose. Create a text file in the following format:

Game Description|romname

e.g.

Galaga - Original|galaga.zip

Point your config\emulator.ini to the nms file.

Very useful for consoles but might be a bit of an ask for MAME.

There's a discussion about it over on the MAMEWah forum:
