About Hyperspin Mame Theme
« on: May 30, 2009, 01:58:57 pm »
Hi, got one question about hyperspin f.e. , i use the f.e. for Mame only, but i don't have every theme for my ROM collection, so when i choose a game that doesn't have a theme i only get a black screen with the video in the center but if i don't even have the video i only get a black screen.
Its there a Mame theme that shows the snap or video with a background picture?
Thanks

Haterot

Not sure I understand the question but the way Hyperspin works is it looks for media (such as video and background themes) for the roms that you have installed if the rom filename finds a match in video or theme it displays it, if not then you get the background. There is not a default image as far as I know, for those roms that have no video/image.
Empire had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of Muppets

Old, but not obsolete.

Hyperspin does have a default theme for games without a theme - check out their forums (as Cakemeister pointed out) to see how to edit it.  They have USER CREATED default themes.

Conversely, if you don't want games without themes showing up on the wheel, click "SHOW THEMES ONLY" [or something like that] in the Hyperspin options.  Be forewarned, if you go that route, all your theme names must match the rom names perfectly.  And mis-named themed will cause the program to go black.
