I remember reading up on that one awhile back.
That's the one the guy built in the basement and it was an ordeal just to get the car out if I recall correctly. (had to open a wall up or something)

Well done, superb craftsmanship.
(and of course the dedication involved)

Yeah, seen this one before. It's interesting and a nice job, and I actually like the Lamborghini (I like Ferrari more  ) and I gave him kudos back then. But... after thinking about it for some time, I'm less and less impressed with it. For the amount of work and effort he put into it, he might as well restored a real Lamborghini, got the engine to go with it, and probably got out ahead.

Don't get me wrong, his work is certainly respectable and I'm certain he gets piles of praise from Lamborghini fans from all over the world. I figure he probably could have gotten the real deal for about the same or even less for what he paid to have this one built.

Yep, exactly. Interesting he no longer makes any mention of the laughable oversight, but has effectively removed all the photos related to that. He ultimately had to pay assloads of cash for someone to bust a hole in his basement, build a ramp and drag the car out. Clearly all that cash and not a whole lot of brains to go with it. There is one photo left that does show the hole in the basement and the hint of the ramp. #63.

I would've been more impressed with a full blown photo diary of someone building an XR-3. Someone strapping jet engines to a scooter. An exact replica of the DeLorean from BttF. Or a perfect drivable scale model of a Ferrari. But a Lamborghini with a Ford engine? Meh, great craftsmanship, just not the best choice of product.
