Help with monitor size.
« on: May 18, 2009, 05:31:24 pm »
Hey all, just a small question.  I have a standard Dynamo cab which is the NBA Jam/NFL Blitz cab.  It houses a 25" monitor naturaly, but I wish to replace the 25" with a 27".  Since I do not have the exact measurements of the 27", does anyone know if I can actually shove a 27" in there or will I have to trim the wooden monitor mounts?  Any feedback would be helpful.

My NFL Blitz gutted cab I got is a Midway cabinet.  I think this maybe different from the one you have but not sure.  My cabinet had monitor mounts for a 25" monitor.  I was able put a 27" Wells Gardner monitor in my cabinet and only had to modify the monitor mounts.  It was a close fit, but went in without a hitch.

You can see it in this post...

cmoses, thanks for the reply.  Well, if you can cram a 27" in your cab, I should be able to cram one in mine.  I compared my Mortal Kombat cab to my Dynamo cab and the inside monitor space is only 1/4" off.  So, I think I would have to do a little cutting to compensate as you did.  Just hate to order a new 27" W&G monitor only to have it not fit.  But anyway, thanks for the reply.

I've done this twice, once in a Golden Tee and cab and once in a Dynamo. Took a couple pics as I went with the Dynamo. This cab was probably a tighter fit than yours.

tossed a 27 in my MK4 cabinet, just had to move the bottom two brackets down a bit.
