I forgot about the sand in the water shoes. Not only was it uncomfortable, but it was also a pain to clean out.

My gf is a bit of a Europhile, she hates that my gym shoes are my casual foot wear.
Nothing says you're an American like a pair of white gym shoes and khaki shorts.
She wants me to get a pair of sandals for the trip.
I never liked sandals, but those sandals look better than the last set of sandals I had(in H.S.). I guess it's been a while since I've shopped for summer foot wear.
I'll go to a local shoe store and see what they have to offer and I'll keep an eye out for that Teva brand.

Although a buddy of mine said they reminded him of the multi-colored striped socks little girls wear. Not really the look I'm going for.
We're going to a resort near Cancun, but far enough away from it to avoid the partying teenagers. According to the blogs I've read about the resort, it's a European destination spot and the people staying there will tolerate Americans, as long as they're not fat.
I don't think my p90x once a week body is going to cut it, so hopefully new sandals will help me blend.
