Any Znes experts here?
« on: May 11, 2009, 11:46:49 am »
Im running Xpadder and useing a wireless 360 controler, its set up with MAME defualts and all my other emu's are working great with it. But right now Znes doesnt like 1 and 5  keyboard keys. Znes maps um to frame and sprite stuff. Does anybody know if i can remap that in Znes Config, or shut it off those keys? I know, I should just shut off Xpadder, but its working perfect for everything else! I hate to start running it sometimes and sometimes not when its just one EMU giving me problems. I did take a peak at the Znes boards, but almost every question there is greeted with hostility it appears (understandble maybe as alot of the same questions over and over there).

basicly i just want to remap the number keys in Znes, or turn the off. It doesnt apper i can rempa them, but i thouhgt i would ask.

You can remap those keys. I think ESC may clear the key. I cant remember off hand but I know I have done it.

I cant see a config anywhere with the keys for frame skip and stuff, the actual gamepad, yes. Myabe its hid in a folder im not seeing. And the only thing in the atual emulator seems to be the controler setups. It maps fine to the 1-5 keys (for start and select) but it keep the frameskip and sprite layer keys too, so hitting start or select turns on and off the sprits/layers also (and game pauses).  If you see a way, pleas point it out.

Ok got it, was far simpler then I assumed, it was under MISC>misc key . I was looking under Config. One of those days, Im configuring 10 emulators at once and my frustration level is a bit high, and I'm making silly mistakes. I'm turning into that guy who needs "read the manual" advice.  Once again thanks Brian, you made me relook it all over and see i was just missing it.
