I spotted this news item on the BBC news today. A semi interesting video about a guy who builds his own.

Nice find.

Except: Arcade PacMan with an Atari 2600 joystick is almost the same as the original???!?  :banghead:

I wonder if the guy peruses BYOAC at all...

That's a point.... If he's going to all the hassle of working out how to hook up a sandwich toaster and an ice machine as controllers to play Final Fight he's probably done his research and where would be a better place? Are you among us Mr. Paul Qureshi? Please step forward!

That was my thought exactly  ???

The LCD in the modified DC stick is pretty cool though, I would like some more info on that.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Jeez. Her knowledge of games and such was far more substantive than her meager body. I was actually impressed that she knew words like 'cabinet', and she asked a good question about emulation vs old boards, of which he totally dorked on and didn't answer, instead talking about controls hardware. He does do some neat controls hacking and adapter hardware.

very interesting stuff. and strange about the 2600 controller. He would very obviously know they are not the same at all. It could very well be they edited a wrong sound bite in that part or summink...

That Dreamcast chicannery was pretty cool (",)
