I.t. could not help, if it's the main board is there any switches or plugs that I can mess with? I did notice 2 female plugs not plugged into anything and at the bottom of the machine 1 male. Has anyone else had this problem?

There are harness plugs for a few things like the dollar bill acceptor, players card and remote admin switches that don't need to be connected for the game to operate.

Do you get a message saying the voltage is low on the diagnostic screen before it cycles?
Next thing I'd try is the hard drive. You can get a tested hard drive from an ebay seller named arcademojo... I bought one as a spare, though I haven't tried it.

So when it runs through it's test everything says pass but
NO MODEM

SIGN PORT ( FAILED )
BOARD TEST  ( FAILED )

Everything else says pass, I have 3 blinking lights. 2 blink green and 1 blinks red.  Being a newb that's what I got so far.

Do you have a manual? I have the manual in PDF form, but its about 5 meg. If you're able to PM me an e-mail address that will handle large attachments, I'll send it over.

If you don't, and want to verify the DIP settings are correct here is the info. Most of this doesn't apply to the problem you're having, but you can get into the operator menu and stop the machine from trying to dial out to ITNET. That might eliminate the modem error.

SW51-Dip switches found on the main PCB near the JAMMA connector
Dip 1 (ON)  Normal Play (Default)
Dip 1 (OFF) Operator mode

Dip 2 (ON) ALWAYS ON
Dip 3 (ON) ALWAYS ON
Dip 4 (ON) ALWAYS ON

The SW5-Dip switches can be found near the flashing green LED. These are used to adjust monitor resolution.
Dip 1 (OFF) Medium Resolution (DEFAULT)
Dip 1 (ON)  Low/Standard Resolution

Dip 2 (OFF) Low Resolution B Adjust (if you have jittery images, switch this)
Dip 2 (ON)  Low Resolution A

Dip 3 (ON) ALWAYS ON
Dip 3 (ON) ALWAYS ON

The hard drive was the issue, one last question.   Is there a way to erase the memory to get rid of the previous scores?  Thanks again

Yes... There is a spot in the operator menu. You have to do it for each course.
There are a couple things you can't change, one of them is the games "location". My GT thinks its somewhere in CT.

If only someone could figure how to hack this. My 2004 is convinced it is in Indiana.
