Need help ** Grounding problem! **

I have a grounding issue somewhere in my latest project. It's an SF Rush XBOX convert cabinet.

Here's what I'm using

- Xbox system ( stock)
- De-cased 27"RCA television
- Yamaha surround sound receiver
 - RF Modular  - (Running yellow Xbox video  cable to the modulator. Coming out of the RF modulator is coax to TV cable jack)
- Xbox Red and White audio jacks to the receiver for sound.
- Fanatec Speedster 3 wheel hacked (not connected yet)
- SF Rush pedal assembly hacked to Fanatec pedal controls. (not connected yet)

I'm getting a nice static discharge building up and zapping me every few seconds when I have everything on. I believe the tv is the culprit and somehow discharging the ground into the whole cabinet. I even get shocks from the plastic seat if I touch it after a few seconds of having everything on.

My question is: how can I ground this easily? I have no issues with the idea of just grounding everything but I lack the knowledge of where to hook the ground up to the separate components. I just don't know where to hook it up and where to send the built up discharge to.

I don't have any metal pipes going into the ground that I can connect to either. Everything is plastic.

Can I somehow rig something safe up to tap into the ground plug on the power strip?

Please advise. I can post some pics tomorrow if need be.

did you per chance forget to reconnect the crt gnd ?

there should be at least 1 wire connecting the tube gnd strap to the ground on the "neck board"

there MAY be a second to the chassis.

as once being a asc for rca  , what is the chassis number of the tv ?

I never disconnected a ground or any of the wiring.

It says the chassis # is CTC185

It also states the tube as a A68ADT27X05.

There's a ground coming from the neck board to the chassis. I'll have to check for a tube strap. Like I said though I didn't remove anything but the case and the speakers. Do you think it might have something to do with removing the speakers?

Could it be that something needs to be shielded. The picture on the screen is fine and doesn't look like it's getting distorted.

I have a few pictures of the chassis and the back of the tube of you'd like to see what I'm dealing with.

The ground here seems to be firmly connected.






Could me receiver for the audio have something to do with it? It does have a screw on the back labeled ground.

hmmmm........,
both tv and rcvr are new enough to have a polarized plug.
u didn't per chance file the wide blade to make it fit in an old style outlet ??

double check that the braid on the tube IS connected to the gnd on the neck board
