Need help with MESS

Does anyone know how to setup MESS....

I am trying to set up my Atari games...and I have MESS...and i am totally lost...

( I know MAME, but MESS may look like MAME...iTS different....)

I have atari "roms"...but they are named different in MESS...)

Can somebody help...

What is what , and where does it go?
