From Triggerfins catlist site http://www.mameworld.net/catlist, here are the FE's that support it:

Advance Menu
Arcade@Home
Emulaxian
Emu Loader
MAME FE
gRustibus
GXMame
MAMEWAH
MAME Wizard
MCM
QuickPlay
S.H.A.C.C.

...but there are more.

In MAMEWAH, just point to your catver.ini in the 'Emulator Settings' > 'List Generation Settings' section.  Refresh the list and you will then be able to view+filter by said categories :)

Is that when filtering, or just refreshing?  If filtering, I have now fixed that bug...

Damn, not sure what it wrong there...does it make any difference if you do not use a catver.ini?

It works perfectly on my XP and '98 system, with or without catver...I just can't get it to crash.

What OS's are you guys using?  Could you zip up and mail me your 'EMU*.CFG' files?

Stumped  :-\

uh, the Rom vs. DAT path, instead of Rom vs. List Info

Either method should work though.  Even if you have the 'ROM Folder vs DAT file' selected, and you have no DAT file, it shouldn't crash.

The 'ROM Folder vs Listinfo' method runs exactly the same code...only it does a 'mame -listinfo > mame.dat' first.

Glad it works now tho :)

JFront also does.

But just a mention, there are 2 formats of the file.

yeah, though most people go with the one at mameworld because it is more detailed.
