Any recommended Video Editors?
« on: March 20, 2009, 08:22:41 pm »
I apologize if this topic has already been covered. I searched and didn't come up with anything.

Anyone have any recommendations on a decent (and, possibly free) video editor for editing video snaps, intros and the like?

I'm not looking to do too much, just mainly edit/copy/paste/add a few effects to some captured video.

If you want good there is premiere and premiere elements. If you want free there is always linux and the multitude of software on that platform.

Hmm

Had considered them. I suppose Premier elements might do the trick and it's relatively cheap. I'm just looking to do an opening sequence video for Mala. No big deal. and I was hoping to avoid spending a pile just for that (If I had other plans for video, things might be different, but I don't at this point)

Funny thing is, Movie Maker (Thanks for the reminder, Witchboard!) gets about 95% to where I want. But the keyhole transition in it can't be reversed (it's pretty low end), still, Several of the effects are exactly what I was looking for, so I may end up running whatever I do through it just for the effects.

I just happened to have an older version of ULead (probably came with a camera or something) so I'm going to reinstall it and see if it might do the trick too.
