I just picked up a P717-N to replace a Hanatarex MTC 9110. Does the WG monitor require a transformer? Where can I get an input harness and power connector and or cable.

if it has a smps , then not .

however, when in doubt - isolate

P717N is not a model number. I don't know anything about P717N.

Here are some pics of the chassis. These are the numbers I could easily see. Are there others I should be looking for? Where can I get the ac and input harness for this chassis?

Model U-2000.

Does NOT need isolation transformer.

A special power cord "dongle" adapter cable (3 pin U2000 monitor power to 2 pin cabinet power) Wells-Gardner part # 038A8059-000 (sells for $10) allows this monitor to plug in power to the same connector the Hantarex did in your cabinet.

The video/sync input cable assembly can be bought from Bob Roberts.

If you want a standard AC power cord for this monitor (allowing you to plug it into any AC outlet) it's part # 038A7927-000

Is there a different dongle that can use a standard 3 prong cord? I'll likely change this to a mame cabinet and pull the power supply and transformer that is in there. Will this input harness work? http://therealbobroberts.net/vidharn1.jpg

Sure .... that will work, if you know what to do with the other end of it.
As in you will still need to attach that to your output source. (i.e. your PC)

Sounds to me like you are needing something that will be plug and play..... not build it yourself. (which I think most of us would have done for both of those cables)

Since you are talking about MAMEing it anyways... you may want to go with something like a VGA Breakout Cable from Ultimarc :

No I'm okay with building the vga cable I just wanted to make sure I got the correct harness. What about the power connector. I really just need molex for the power connector. I'll strip a three prong power cable and crimp/solder to the molex pins or pigtail. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my earlier post.

I'm personally not sure what the "Molex" part number is, but I think the pins would be of the .093 variety. Someone else here may know off hand though.

According to Wells, that power cord is used on models U2000, U3100, U5000, K7400, K7500, K7600, D9100, D9300, D9500. And by looking through some of the spec sheets for those models it seems the mating AMP (Amphenol) part number is 1-480700-0. (MATE-N-LOK)

Got my power cable yesterday. Hooked this back up in my street figther II championship cab. It had a Hanatarex MTC 9110 previously. When I power up the monitor it's rolling and looks upside down. (Edit horizontal hold stopped rolling) Picture is definately upside down. I unplugged it pretty quickly so I didn't blow anything up. Do I need to swap some pins around on the video harness? Attached is a picture of the harness as installed on the 9110.

Nah.... sounds like you just need to flip the yoke connector. (the vertical half)

So I just need to flip the green and yellow connector around? Do I have to discharge the tube or anything before I do that? I don't want to zap myself or ruin this monitor.

You can flip your vertical yoke connector or if you are using a street fighter board, it has a screen flip option if you move dip switch 5 on bank C.

You do not need to discharge a monitor to swap a yoke connection around just make sure it is turned off.

I changed the switch and now it's right side up. It is also flipped horizontally. Do I power everything off and then flip that horizontal yoke connector?

Yes. Your horizontal deflection coil should be colored red and blue and is located next to the flyback.

Worked great thanks guys. The left side of the screen seems to get wider as you go from bottom to top. The right side looks pretty straight. What do I need to adjust to try and correct that? None of the controls on the remote board seem to fix it.
