256 vertical res with 60hz
« on: March 15, 2009, 09:38:42 am »
Is it possible to have a screen mode of 256 lines of vertical resolution at 60hz on a CGA monitor? If the answer is no, then do these games which feature 384x256 60hz run on medium res monitors?: Blomby Car (http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/romset/blmbycar) and World Class Bowling (http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/romset/wcbowl).

The are run in "extended resolution" mode, which is something around 16kHz. Most CGA monitors can sync to them but may need adjusting the H-FREQ pot.
I do all that stuff even without a Joystick ;)
