any of you have success using a vizio 37" costco special in a cabinet? before I get flamed, I'm not looking for authenticity; just experiences with the platform on games 1985+

I had a friend who worked the returns dept at costco after they lost their job last year, and I have to say I would no more buy a vizio than inject myself with herpes. Vizio has notoriously used the cheapest parts possible in making their televisions. If you have any other options I recommend those. Vizio has horrible color, contrast, and refresh nearly across the board.

I'm sure now someone will chime in and say they have one in their bedroom they love, but for something you are going to install in a cabinet, that you want to be reliable for a good amount of time, I would say you should try and find a older Hitachi, Samsung, Pioneer, or Mitsubishi off of craigslist for around 400-500.
