Smallest cab fo a 25" CRT?
« on: March 12, 2009, 09:19:54 am »
Im dead set on using my 25" crt tv in my cab build but I am having trouble finding a suitable cab.
The main problem im having is measuring the tv tilted back at a 10 degree angle makes it quite large thus making the main body of the cab large.

Can anyone suggest a cab which takes a 25" CRT monitor which is slim all around?

Is there anyway to save on space or should I give up and go buy a flatscreen (20" 4:3 )?

I've always favored this particular 25in Dynamo design. It originally shipped out for Street Fighter II Champion Edition. Its not an overwhelming cab, the size is very tolerable compared to some of their other cabs.

Right now I am trying to fit in a 25" tv (decased) into a Taito cab. It is in pieces and being sanded right now but as soon as that is done I will post pics. The cab is like 23" wide. VERY tight fit. But I think it will fit in just right.

Can you tell me the depth measurement of that cab please?

I only just realised ive been measureing the tv wrong. Ive been drawing a square and tilting it 10 degrees. The tv slopes at the back so the bacK point is lower thus giving me less depth doh! ::)

Well which depth did you need?
Its 30" deep overall
Its about 21" deep with the angle and the glass - glass not in or door so i estimated this
Its 18" deep from the smallest part of the curve to the back if you were to set the tv totally straight up and down
