Vision Pro, Wells Gardner, etc...
« on: March 11, 2009, 04:24:14 pm »
I am building my first cocktail cabinet and feel like i have read about 50 different sites worth of information.  I have been contemplating the monitor purchase and possibly will end up using my 17" ctx monitor in the short term but have been looking into a 19".

I've noticed over the past year or so, through various searches in the forums that WG may not be as great/dependable as it used to be.  On a number of sites I've seen reference to the Vision Pro SVGA monitor over on the Happ site...but when i go there, i only really see the CGA monitor:

http://web.happcontrols.com/monitors/490727vp2.htm

..on to my question(s) [which isn't the same "which monitor should I use?" question many people ask :) ]

which monitor on the happ site is the vision pro SVGA monitor?
(do they possibly no longer make a CRT version of it?)

I may want to also utilize this cabinet eventually as a jukebox or possible to browse the internet, but first and foremost it is an arcade cab..so a higher resolution is what i would like, but i want the 'authenticity' of an older monitor as well.

also..for the cocktail cab i should be looking at the "shelf mount"?  this looks more like it is meant to be mounted facing up rather than the one above

http://web.happcontrols.com/monitors/49132900.htm

Any help is appreciated.

Also, any feedback on the Vision Pro monitor is appreciated as I haven't found many reviews on it/them.

Thanks!
