Getting Tempest to run on a Wells-Gardner monitor
« on: February 25, 2009, 05:00:08 pm »
I use Maximus Arcade as my front end.
I used the MAME Resolution Tool and now most of the games installed in MAME work fine.

I try to run Tempest and get an "Out of Range" message on the monitor.
What settings do I need to make to run Tempest?

Thanks in advance..

If it's a standard resolution monitor then I'd say 640x480.

I found an older version of Mame makes vectors look better on a standard res. monitor (there's more settings). I use v0.99 but it's probably the same in versions up to the big video change (v0.123?).

... the big video change (v0.123?).

0.106.  The Big Video Change happened in that version's u updates, and 0.107 was the first major release with the BVC.
