Backspin on Golden Tee

Isn't there a backspin button on golden tee?   When I played in the arcade machines I seem to remember 5 buttons: turn left, turn right, backspin, fly-by, and pause/options.   In the versions between 1995 and 2001 in MAME there appears to only be two buttons: turn left and turn right.

So did they not introduce backspin and fly-by until later versions of Golden Tee?  Or am I just missing something?  Anyone know?

Backspin started on the Live series so around 2005 or later.  I don't imagine will see that for a while in MAME.

Man it seems like backspin has been around for ever, I guess not!   Thanks for the info!

Actually, I was wrong.  It came out with Fore, not Live.  My bad...   :dizzy:
