All of a sudden, MAME32 is freezing - HELP
« on: February 08, 2009, 06:50:39 pm »
Ok, I've been trying to get both Topgun II's working again. A friend kicked the cord for his gun and it stopped working. I've got another post going for the Topgun II issue's, but now Mame32 v 120 is freezing as well.

Before I could play Police Trainer for long periods of time, but now things are locking up withing minutes. It mostly seems to lock up when I am in the TAB menu. I've ran memtest and my memory is good, my ArcadeVGA card is new (6 months old), new power supply, P4 2.9GHz, plenty of HD space. My BIOS doesn't show CPU temp, but I doubt it's overheating.

It locks up whether I use Mala or just Mame32. I am not using any sort of virus software, since my cab isn't hooked to the internet and don't have MS Office installed. I know that it causes issues with Mame32. When my cab boots up, it loads to my Mala/mame menu or NES, or SNES..... it will sit on the menu for as long as I want without locking up.

Suggestions?
