Weird arcade dream
« on: February 06, 2009, 06:51:26 pm »
I had this strange arcade dream last night. I was at my grade school, where I'd stashed some old and funky cabinets on the playground. So I went and looked them over again, and was realising that some worked better than I thought, though some I didn't want still, anyways. Then it was like it simultaneously became an outside/inside arcade, and there were golden age games lined along the walls. All these kids, nowadays types of kids, from the houses close by had come round to see the games.....

I don't think I've had a game-related dream before this....

I once dreamt that I was in an open field west of a big white house with a boarded front door.
There was a small mailbox there.

I once had a dream of being eaten by a grue ...
So a leper walks into a bar and as he gets his beer, a finger falls off. The bartender who is serving him turns and pukes all over the place. The leper, feeling bad, says, "Was it my finger falling off?" The bartender turns to him and says, "No, it's the guy dipping chips into your back."

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I had a dream the other night that I was in the walmart parking lot and this guy pulled up with several classic cabs in the back of his pickup. I asked if they were for sale and he said he wanted $500 each. I told him I'd only give him fifty bucks, take it or leave it. He talked it over with his wife and said I could take the Pac-man cabaret for that. I ran inside walmart to borrow a pallet jack and an empty pallet, and just as I was heading for the pickup, I woke up.

I laid there for a little while angry because I didn't get the cab  :laugh2:

I had a dream last night where I was walking around the local down town and I saw this crappy old store front. The only piece of signage was a tiny little Millennium Falcon sticker on the door. I was looking at it, the door was open by the shop keep. I looked at him and he welcomed me to the Champaign-Urbana City Star Wars Museum. I thought this was strange but I walked in and oh my god. This place was amazing. They had original sets and costumes and rooms full of mint boxed action figures and so on. There was one room in the back with a big, solid door on it that had the word Arcade painted on it. I stepped through and Ill be damned if there wasn't TWO of each Star Wars arcade game ever made sitting in front of me, including the SW Cockpit. Thats about the time I woke up. I think I'm gonna go look for this place today...

Dude, I wouldn't be surprised if there is such a place. Maybe you were astrally projecting or something.

Last night I had my first dream with a sequence where there was a 3D game played. Just an attract scene actually is what I saw. Something remotely Star Wars related. It was kinda interesting.
