Golden Tee PC version Cab Question
« on: June 25, 2003, 09:34:44 am »
I'm getting ready to add my copy of Golden Tee to my cab but I have a quick question first. I have a trackball on the cab but no mouse buttons. Is GoldenTee playable using the trackball and a mame button?

Not really.  What interface are you using for your trackball?

Don't forget in PC Golden Tee you have to enter you names/intials via keyboard (either that or just his your "z" key  for zzzzz  player names.. if using a keyboard enocder)

I have separate mouse buttons... but if you didn't want "separate" mouse buttons... you can wire your left and right click buttons in place of say... your player 1 buttons 3 and buttons 6 (and then remap them in mame so they still function there)

Please note for GT PC version you need both buttons as right click is the method for invoking backspin on your shots!  How do you expect to stick to the pin without backspin =P

good luck and LMK if you need clarificaiton.

The shrug-man is correct.  You need the keyboard to enter names.  However I am usually just 'v' as that is my player 2 button 1 key:)
You can setup two button you currently have to mo0use buttons instead of keyboard buttons, just make sure in mame you remap controls.

What I have done is map player 1 button 1 on my cp to enter.  Player 1 buttons 1 and 2 are my mouse buttons on a flip of a swich.  however I might be changing that so they are permanently mouse buttons and button 3 is enter.
