What the hell is up with them using red as a background?!?! I couldn't look at my monitor for a few minutes after navigating away.

Yeah, pretty neat. I hadn't even thought about emulating a monochrome display.

i've seen this before (that red was the mnemonic). bloody cool idea. i hadn't realised they had cartridges too. simple idea, each cart has a different 'code' by pressing different buttons when inserted...

cool they have one for super mario land. that was the game that came with mine...

Reminds me of some early console. I can't remember the name. It didn't have real carts with ROMS per se, the carts were essentially just jumpers that re-arranged the solid state circuitry inside the console to create new games. I can't for the life of me remember which console did that.
