CP: To Angle or Not to Angle

Hey guys - first and foremost, thanks in advance for the help on this.  After reading these forums for quite a while, but never posting, I know how great this community is.

My question is an easy one, in your experience, have you preferred an angled or non angled control panel?

I know it's more of a personal preference thing, but either feels fine to me to be honest.

Also, how much angle have you guys used?

Angled.  Just more comfortable.  I went with the same angle as in Saint's book.  Not sure what it is.  It just feels right.

I'd suggest making a mock up and seeing how it feels to use.

Yeah, see, that's the problem.  I've mocked both versions up and I still can't decide.  I just wanted to get some feedback on both ways, what people liked and didn't like.

I like a slight angle it just seems more ergonomic. 

Like my laptop I have to use my cooling pad with it just so it will tilt it some or I get pains in my wrist.

Flat is ok if its the right height, but I think having an angle on the CP gives you more flexibility with the height.

Since your neutral about it, how about making an adjustable one   It would not be too hard with some hydrolic actuators to make it automated, or just some locking mechanism and hinges and it can be done manually.

i prefer a bit of an angle. if you really cant decide, id say go with a small angle. that way bases are covered for others that play it...

If you are putting into a cabinet and the CP is above your belly button, Angled (5 degrees).
If you are putting into a cabinet and the CP is below your belly button, Not Angled.
If you are putting into a cabinet and the CP is at your belly button, Either.
If you are not putting into a cabinet, Not Angled.

Angle. I believe Saints book is 2 inches (which is what I used). I've noticed a lot of others prefer 1 inch though.

That's good advice in my opinion.
