Maybe a Dumb Question...Regarding Jamma cab and cab power
« on: January 28, 2009, 08:34:15 pm »
So I have this Jamma cab which has Klax currently in it.  I'm converting it to a Mame cab.

Here is what I've done so far:

1) I disconnected or cut all the wires going to the control panel (joysticks and buttons)

2) The existing power cord had the ground pin removed, so I disconnected the cord at the wire nuts and replaced the cord with one that had all 3 prongs.

So when I now power it up, all the fans start running, but the monitor no longer powers up and the game doesn't come on (I usually here a loud boob when Klax comes on). My question is, would either of these two things I've done have caused the cab to not get power to the board or monitor?

I'm thinking no, but what do I know, its my first Jamma cab.

I'm hoping this isn't a dedicated Klax mini - those aren't common.
