OS X to XP: enourmous Mala/Mame Noobness.
« on: January 20, 2009, 08:59:16 am »
I was used to Emulaunch and Mame OSX. Emulaunch is amazing, it tames weird-AL-mame-os x-ovic and creates decent XML-lists of all Roms it runs into. But I wanted to put a cheapo PC in my cab instead of moving my Mac every time I want to toss a quarter in. Now I'm completely puzzled to set up some working FE.

Some NOOB questions I have:
- Mala has a menu at the first start up. On the second boot it shows the FE directly. How do I enter the settings menu a second time?
- Where do I set mala+its emulator resolutions to 1920x1200x60hz and smoothing to OFF?
- After I found out Mala had a 5000 rom list, I tried to use ROMLIster to create a my-ROM-only file, but it askes an input-file? There is no XML yet, so nothing to input. If I point it at mame.xml, this file is only filled with
Code: [Select]
<game name=. It does not want to read the 60 files in the ROM folder.
- Can Mala blow up an 640x480 layout to bigger?
