Background Music
« on: January 17, 2009, 09:08:24 am »
Having a bit of a problem with this....

I have 5 songs in the playlist....Mala only ever plays the first one....I have the shuffle option set....

If I leave Mala running it just repeats the one song and never moves onto the next.....

Is this a known problem or sthg I'm missing.......

Cheers

Which version of MaLa are you running?  I wish MaLa had a list of known bugs which you could pull up and look at on the web, just so we wouldn't bambard loadman with the same stuff all the time  :-[

try using a different program to play them like vlc media player and setting it as the default player instead of windows media player

Interesting......

If I highlight any song in the list and hit the play button, it just plays the first song.....

BUT if I double click any song it plays that song straight away, and now in Mala it moves onto the second song.....

*Quick Test*

After exiting and restarting it's back to just playing the one song again......

Bugger.......

It has to be something simple.

Try copying mala.exe and the dll files to another directory (not mala.ini)

That way you can start mala in an isolated test enviroment and find out what setting is causing the issue

OK......

Brand new install on a different drive in a different folder.....

Added the mame configs etc.....That's all, no plugins....Added 3 songs to the playlist....

The program hung when the first song finished and I could not right click to enter the options.....Had to end program.....

When I ran it a second time it said it was a first run but had all the data entered previously.....

It Played the first song......Then repeated it again.....

 ???
