360 modded stick problem
« on: January 20, 2009, 08:12:38 am »
I modded my old Supergun to a 360 wireless stick everything work fine except the "B" button in STHD, the b button work everywhere ( dashboard, menu, etcc)
but not when i play a match in the game.
The weird thing is that i removed the RT trigger to sold connection for my B button, so my RT trigger is now unfonctionnal but in the command menu of STHD i ve set my B button to "strong" which is where RT was used to be. So i have "RT and B" as strong, cuz i can't tell STHD not to use RT cuz i can't push it anymore ( hope my english syntax is not crappy and you're understanding me ).
So it may have a conflict between the RT and B ?
anyway can i disable totally RT without removing the solded thing and put a transistor (cuz i haven't one and the electronic store is like MIIILLLEES AWAY ) ?

thnx for any answer :)

I do a lot of controller hacks.  Maybe I can help.

First off, what brand of controller did you use?
Second, do you have any pictures (close up and CLEAR) of your PCB and how you soldered it?

i used an official ( first generation i guess ) wireless microsoft pad.
i did exactly as in your tutorial, i ve got the first half of the trigger removed. i ll try post pictures !
thx for the help
oh and forget to say that in fact the only soldering i did in the back of the pcb ( where the trigger was ) were for the down d-pad and X button, the B button is soldered on front ( not as i mentionned in the first post ).

Won't know without good pictures.  You may have created a short somewhere, also, you may have broken one of the legs of the trigger pot, or jarred it loose from the PCB.
