PC Monitor
« on: January 14, 2009, 10:23:49 am »
I'm planning on using a pc monitor for my next cab.  I want to remove the outer plastic case to save space.  There appears to be a metal cage surrounding the entire monitor.  Is it safe to handle the monitor by this metal case?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Use the 9-volt battery test.

Try touching it with your tongue first.

You can touch it without it shocking you.

that would be a "Faraday cage".  it is for noise suppression to/from the monitor.
u may be able to use without pending the noise factor..
