I see MTG cards go up on Craigs quite often lately. Usually not more than 100 card batches and the seller almost never mentions what set they're from or condition. eBay prices are out of control in my opinion. I suppose you could take them to a card shop and sell them as a lot.
Lot sales will never fetch anywhere near the same amount of hard cash as single card sales, but you get back what you put into the sale in terms of work. With the economy slowing down, I'm sure MTG is taking a punch in the face as well.
I have cards going all the way back to The Dark, I haven't really had any interest in selling them nor have I purchased any since the introduction of Tempest or thereabouts so I haven't been watching the market much.
