I probably have 600-700 magic cards - mostly 4th ed with a sprinkling of ice age, legends, and alliances. I've been going through them and making a list but I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time. Is there much of a market for older cards? I found a price guide but I have no idea how accurate it is:

Anybody have any advice whats the best way to sell them? I've attached the list of what I've done so far. Any help would be appreciated.
Experience is directly proportional to equipment ruined

I see MTG cards go up on Craigs quite often lately. Usually not more than 100 card batches and the seller almost never mentions what set they're from or condition. eBay prices are out of control in my opinion. I suppose you could take them to a card shop and sell them as a lot.

Lot sales will never fetch anywhere near the same amount of hard cash as single card sales, but you get back what you put into the sale in terms of work. With the economy slowing down, I'm sure MTG is taking a punch in the face as well.

I have cards going all the way back to The Dark, I haven't really had any interest in selling them nor have I purchased any since the introduction of Tempest or thereabouts so I haven't been watching the market much.

Nevermind, out of control is an understatement. I just took a peek at eBay for prices. Holy ---smurfing--- ---Cleveland steamer---, I better get a Scrye or InQuest and see if those prices are accurate. $2,000 for a Lotus??? I remember when that card sold for less than 1/3 of that. I ought to kick myself for not getting one when I had the money.
