mame line command line question
« on: June 22, 2003, 10:15:39 pm »
is there an easy way to export the individual game config files from mame32 FE to command line mame? and will mamewah use them?

mamewah seems to be the only FE i can get to run consistantly but i run varied cfg files for each game so most games look like poo once i run them.

I think you just copy the files in the cfg folder of mame32 to the cfg folder in the directory that you have command line mame installed.
I actually run mame32 and command line from the same dir . There may be other things to copy like nvram etc. I'm not 100% sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

That's funny, I think I'm trying to do the same thing...
Here's what I know.  When you change settings for an individual game, it's stored in the INI file for that game in the INI directory.
How to get that file to load with the game... That's the trick.
Does anyone know?
I tried a bunch of command line options on version .70 of mame32.exe an very few work at all.  I'm using XP, if it matters.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
