With a little modification on my part the bushings work well.  I had to add a brass pen tube to the inside of the bushings you made.  Otherwise the holes were too large for the pen mandrel.  My fault not yours.  I also used the Veneer punches you made for me.

Thanks for your work,
Michael

Sweet job there Kaytrim.
I like the woodgrain in the pushbuttons.

A beautiful stick for sure man. Great job.

I'm just not a fan of the wood-grain sticks. I like the plastic or metal look.

To each his own buddy.  Keep doing what you like best and you will do your best work.

Nice stick. Not to sound like a critic because I don't know the effort involved but.

Could the screws be counter sunk? Or maybe screwed from the inside to hide them? Looking at the bottom well its obvious they couldn't be screwed from the bottom unless you used some kind of Helacoil gizmo.

My questions are meant as you shoulds just ideas of course.

I really like the addition of the little pieces of wood on the corners. Gives it some character.

Kizer,

The top panel is only 1/4" thick so there is no real way to hide the screws.  I did counter sink the screws but they have a slight dome to them so still sit proud of the surface.  There are no sharp edges to the screw heads so I am not worried about anyone scratch their hand using this stick.

Thanks for the comments both positive and constructive.
