Disable Save State?

Is there a way to disable the save state in certain games....i.e. Have some friends over and I crank the baby up to play some donkey kong...and BAM the second that I died from the night before comes up...
I figured that DK only has 3-4 different levels...why do I need to save? Can i disable this feature, and how?

Sounds like the save state on exit is on. Turn it off.

The pic the prior poster was for all games.  If you want specific games, right click on the game and select properties (or on properties of driver xxx for all games in that driver).  Go the misc tab (the nubmer of tabs will be a little different than above pic), and uncheck the save on exit.

I snagged that pic from the other thread. My intention was to show where it's located when you select the game's properties, though the title bar in the picture is obviously for all games.

It's funny to have your own high score..but use dat file instead..then only the high score will be saved, not as the game freezes in save stats on exit mode..and DK has plenty of level difficulty
