Slik Stik 4 player Control Panel Mod ?!?
« on: January 06, 2009, 03:47:43 pm »
So a few years ago I had to sell my cabinet when I moved to Vancouver BC Canada. However I coun't part with the control pannel. Its been sitting in my moms garage since and as of late I have been getting the urge to do another mame project.

I picked up the Slik Stick 4 player Deluxe control pannel (spinner, trackball, 4 player 6 button bare bones unit) when they where still in buisness.

I could always make room in my apt. for a full sized cabinet, however the girlfriend would kill me ;) So I was thinking of moding the control panel by picking up a decent cheap laptop, stripping it down to the bare bones and screwing it down inside the box and having all the ports on the backside on the panel. This way it would be easy to take out of the closet when friends and family come over.

I was wondering if anyone else has done something like this to one of these slik stik control pannels before as I would be interested to see how they have come out in the end.
