Arcade Monitor Turns on But no picture?
« on: January 04, 2009, 12:23:12 am »
I have a 25" Wells Gardner U series , Its from a die hard arcade cabinet, works great. Well I took the machine apart to move it and after putting it together again and double checking all the connections twice before first power up , I'm getting a blank screen on power up.  The monitor is definitely
powered up, but its just blank.  I also tried plugging in the old die hard
board to see if it would make a difference, it didn't. Any ideas? This monitor has always been perfect ajnd I have moved it several times in the past with no issues..

It's old enough to need a capkit. There's probably some bad solder joints on the main board too.

I can see the brightness change on the monitor but it doesnt seem to be picking up any signal from the jamma harness maybe?

Unplug a cable somewhere when you took the cabinet apart and forgot to plug it back in?

Im pretty much 100% its all hooked up, I mean its only 3 things to plug into the monitor, the marquee light , the POT board for brightness etc and the 6 pin monitor input..

Does the game play blind?  Did you check the voltage to the game board?  Just a couple ideas.

Ok, I was able to get it to play die hard pcb.. so the monitor is fine ?  However my JPAC will not show a picture no matter what I do.. Im running soft 15hz but It doesnt seem to be doing a full boot up or I would hear it from my speakers... Ugh.. Is there a way to bypass soft 15hz so I can hook it to a regular monitor and check some things?

Can I change one of the jumpers on the jpac to make it run at 30hz so I could view half screen on a regular monitor?
